Flavours

Our cakes are lovingly handmade with the freshest and finest ingredients to create a cake that tastes as good as it looks. Free range eggs are always used. 

Cakes are available in either fruit or sponge.

Sponge cakes are available in a wide variety of flavours:

(The rich fruit cake can be made with or without the following ingredients; cherries, nuts and mixed peel).

If you would like a flavour of cake that isn’t listed here please discuss this with me as other options can be explored.

Fillings & Coverings

Cakes can be filled with a wide variety of fillings, from simple jam and buttercream to rich chocolate ganache. Specific customer requests can be used, subject to availability and Health and Safety Regulations. (I prefer not to use fresh cream due to storage issues relating to H&S).

Cakes can also be covered in a wide variety of coatings; sugarpaste, chocolate, chocolate ganache or buttercream to name the most popular.

Fruit cakes are usually covered with marzipan and sugarpaste to create a lovely smooth finish (and help to keep the cake fresher for longer) but marzipan and royal icing or just sugarpaste are other possibilities.

If you or any of your guests have a food allergy or intolerance please discuss this with me when ordering your cake. Although I am able to use ingredients that claim to be nut free I do work in a kitchen where nuts are used.
