Prices & Ordering
Jen’s House of Cakes can create a cake to suit any budget, taste or style.
Every cake is individually designed to meet your requirements; no two cakes are the same.
There are several things you need to consider before ordering a cake:
- Number of guests
- Type of cake (flavour)
- Choice of filling and covering
- Style of cake i.e. decorations, modern/traditional
- Colours to be used or avoided
- Message to be included i.e. “Happy Birthday”
Prices
All prices provided on this website are there as a basic guide. Please contact me for a personalised quote.
Payments can be made by cheque (payable to Mrs J Bone ) or cash.
Prices for celebration cakes start at £35.
Decorated Cupcakes from £2.00 each (minimum order of 6)
Decorated Cookies from £1.50 each (minimum order of 6) – these can be individually bagged and tied with ribbon at an extra cost if requested.
Deposits
All orders require a non-refundable deposit to secure the date and booking.
For Celebration, Novelty and Christening cakes a non-refundable 20% deposit is required. The balance is due on collection or delivery.
For Wedding and Civil Union Cakes a non-refundable 35% deposit is required and the balance is due 3 weeks before the celebration.
Please place your order as early as possible to avoid disappointment, at least 3 weeks notice is appreciated. However, 5 weeks notice is recommended for fruit cakes and at least 2-3 months for weddings and civil union cakes. (I am happy to take bookings up to a year in advance). It is sometimes possible to place an order at short notice, please contact me for further details.
Delivery & Collection
Delivery is free for cakes costing over £100 within the Teesside area (subject to availability) otherwise collection is required. It may be possible to arrange delivery for other cakes; however a small charge will apply.
Special Note
Jen’s House of Cakes appreciate that all the major supermarkets now offer reasonably priced celebration cakes, however I would like to highlight that my prices reflect the quality of ingredients used, research, design and the amount of time taken to create a unique cake to meet your specific requirements.
